 Happy Sunday!!  It's the last day of the month!!  Tomorrow we launch our next sketch, however, I wanted to pop on and introduce our newest DT members!! These ladies are amazing and will hopefully be inspiring you for many months to come!!  Please join me in welcoming back to the fold Surama!!!!  Surama has been on the design team in the past and we are so happy she is able to rejoin our group!!!  Here is a little bit about Surama:

Hello, my name is Surama and I am very happy to be part of this design team again.  I live in Brazil with my sister and our kitten.  I am single and have no children.  I have been making scrapbooks for over 10 years.  Unfortunately the materials here in Brazil are very expensive but I love this art, I love the papers and I love working with sketches.  I have been running a marketing and events company for 25 years and right now my sister and I are starting a personalized stationary e-commerce site (I hope it works!).  I hope you like my work, with clean and very colorful style and I hope that somehow my pages and card inspire everyone!

We are welcoming to our team for the first time Dorlene Durham!!  Dorlene has been a long time participant here on the Sketch N Scrap blog and we are excited that she is joining our team to continue to inspire us each and every month!!!  Here is a little bit more about Dorlene:

I've been creative from a young age and have played with many different types of products and mediums over the years.  My favorite is paper products which includes scrapbooking and card making.  I'm a wife, mother and grandmother and have plenty of reasons to create.  Because I love to play with products and techniques, I don't think I have one particular style that I follow- I love them all!  I do believe that a great way to start a project is with a sketch and am super excited to be part of the Sketch-n-Scrap Design Team because of that belief.  I hope to inspire and motivate others to have fun with their projects and this wonderful hobby of ours!

Welcome to our newest DT members!!

Good morning!!  Can you believe tomorrow we kick off another month?!!!  July 1st is the start of a new design team term here at Sketch N Scrap and we are super excited to announce the newest additions to our team!!  Joining us July 1st as part of our Social Media team will be Jan Mosier and Amy Pitts!! 

JAN:

Here is a little more about Jan:

Hello, my name is Jan Mosier and I have been scrapbooking for well over 20+ years now. I started out as a card maker but switched to scrapbooking when my husband purchased me a Canon Rebel (that was before digital cameras) for my 30th birthday. I went to my first Creative Memories class in 1996 or 97 and it was by far the best $5 I had ever spent. I am forever grateful to the CM consultant that introduced me to scrapbooking. I visited my first Michael's during our stay in El Paso, TX and I never looked back. There were way too many pretties to choose from. I eventually found my own style of scrapbooking, clean and simple with a little mixed media and a whole lot of white space. Most of the pages in my albums are of my 12 dogs, my son who lives next door, my beautiful step daughter and her 2 children (my grandchildren) and now my great grandson Kian. In the past few months or so, scrapbooking has become more of a creative outlet for me and I am super excited to be a new member to the team.

A bit more about Amy:

My name is Amy from DeKalb IL, my husband Kenny and I are the modern day Brady Bunch he had 2 sons and 1 daughter and I have 3 daughters so now we have 6 kids among us. Only my youngest lives with us all the rest of them are adults. Our two oldest children both have families of their own so we also have 5 grandchildren. Lots of great memories to scrapbook and lots of reasons to send out cards on a regular basis.

I have been artsy my whole life but in 1995 I discovered scrapbooking and soon after stamping. This year I also ventured into Pocket Scrapbooking, I have tried it several times in the past and didn't get very far but so far so good this time. It has been nice to scrapbook the every day in pockets and then add in some pages for my really special moments on a 12 x 12 or a mini album. It is fun to blend stamping, and scrapbooking together and I enjoy making ABC items (anything but a card),home decor items, and planners. Basically I just love papercrafts!!

 Jan will be joining us for her first term at Sketch N Scrap but Amy has been on our team for some time now, she will be transitioning from our blog team where you have seen her amazing projects to our Social Media team where she will inspire us with not only her layouts and cards but her fun challenges as well!!  WELCOME LADIES!!!

Hi, my name is Tammy and I'm super excited to be a new member of the Sketch N Scrap Design Team. I currently live in Pennsylvania with my husband Shawn (who supports my paper addiction 100%), and my son Garrett (an upcoming college sophmore). I also have a daughter, Jackie, that lives in South Carolina. She is mommy to two beautiful babies that call me Nana - Miss Everly Claire and Harrison Grant. They are the main focus of most of my layouts these days!! I've been scrapping off an on now for about 20 years, and would consider myself a very clean and simple scrapper. I scrap 8-1/2 x 11 pages, and have been tempted over the years to convert, but have never quite made the switch . . Welcome Lu!

Happy Monday!!  This year has flown by and soon we will be entering our 8th year of offering card and layout sketch inspiration!!  Wow!  That's a lot of sketches!  Each new year we have a few changes and 2020 will be no different.  Beginning January 1st, 2020 we will be saying hello to our newest design team member Lu Loy and saying good by to our social media team member Cathy Sanders!  Saying good by is always hard but we hope you will join us in wishing Cathy well on her future endeavors!  Lu Loy will be taking over Cathy's spot as of January 1st.  You may recognize Lu from her time as a Guest Designer back in October.  Here is a little about Lu:

Hello from Northwest North Carolina! I'm Lu and I've been married to my husband Mike for 40 years. We have a daughter who lives right outside of Chicago.  I can't really remember when I started using sketches...best guess would be 5-6 years ago. I can tell you, however, that my scrapping style totally changed and it continues to evolve. Almost every single layout I do begins with a sketch. When I discovered Sketch N Scrap I really got into card making. The card sketches I find here are simple, not fussy, and that complements my scrapping style. When I'm not scrapping, I like to sew, cross stitch and read. I'm happy to be joining the social media team here at Sketch N Scrap!

Hey everyone! I'm Deanna and so honored to be apart of the Sketch N Scrap Team! I'm married to my high school sweetheart Brad for many years. We have 3 adult kids who have given us 9 beautiful grandkids whom I adore and enjoy scrapping about. Although I think I've always saved memorabilia and kept scrapbooks, my oldest granddaughter is actually the reason I started scrapping 18 years ago like I do now. I ran across a scrapbooking site online and thought it would be such a wonderful way to preserve memories for her. I love working with sketches and techniques! Hi! My name is Tina! I'm originally from Ky, but now live in Tennessee with my other half, our teen aged son, and a very lazy (but so stinkin' cute!) Bagel Dog. She's part beagle and part basset hound. Nope, she's not spoiled at all!!  I'm a boy mom (5 boys ages 26, 24, 22, 18 and 14) and they are most often my scrap victims. Uhmm.....I mean inspiration!!! I love creating boy pages and working with bold, fun colors and patterns. And if you have ever seen my creations you know I am all about "Pile on the stuff!" Clean and simple is not my forte! I struggle with card making but I'm getting more comfortable with it. I'm so happy to be a member of this awesome team and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone's creations!

My name is Cathy Sanders and I hail from sunny South Africa. I have been scrapping since 2003... was introduced to this hobby by my BFF and have not looked back. I eat, sleep and create scrapbook layouts. I love to scrap with a "mix and match" style... ie anything goes so long as the photos are highlighted and the story is told. I am married to Keith and mother to Aaron. My scrapping is my photo album and thus I scrap the everyday memories that we make. I dabble in a few other hobbies too, namely quilling,  card making, sewing and reading.

We are so happy to announce we have a new team member!  Please join us in welcoming our new design team member Stacy Daubenberger!!  

Here is a little bit about Stacy:  Hello!  My name is Stacy and I live in Southwest Florida with my husband, our teenage son, and our two furbaby rescue dogs.  I work full-time as a Billing Manager for an Orthopedic Surgery group.  I’m originally from a tiny town in central Missouri where I grew up on a farm, the youngest of 5 children.  I’ve always enjoyed different types of crafting since I was a child and I began scrapping 17 years ago, after the birth of my son.  My style has definitely changed over the years...I’m not sure how I’d define it today!  Sketches are my go-to for a jump start of creativity, and I love to add “clusters” and layering on my pages.  I also enjoy using stencils, texture pastes, and sometimes my sewing machine on my projects.  I’m almost exclusively a one-page 12” x 12” scrapper and enjoy making cards, also.  I’m so excited to join the Sketch N Scrap Design Team! Good evening!  I am thrilled to say we have chosen our newest design team members for the Summer-Winter 2017 term!  Thank you to all who applied, it was a very hard decision to just pick a few.  We had so many very talented people apply it made the decision a very hard one!  So without further ado here is our Summer/Winter 2017 Blog Design team:

Christine:

 My name is Christine (Chris) and I am recently retired. I have been married to my wonderful husband since June 1988 and between us we have a blended family of four children and five grandchildren.  I have been scrapping for almost 17 years and I have the stash to prove it!  My scrappy style has changed quite a bit over the years - I started with 8 1/2" x 11" single pages, moved to 12" x 12" double pages and now I mostly scrap 12" x 12" single pages.  I am super excited to be a new member of the Sketch N Scrap Design Team.  I love sketches and look forward to sharing my layouts and cards with everyone.  You can find me at  My Blog or on Instagram @chriscassidy84.

 My name is Joanna Ford and I live in The sunny state of Queensland Australia. I first found Scrapbooking on a trip to the US about 15 years ago, and I have been hooked since then. I like scraping in many different styles but my fav would be clean and simple with the photo being the focus of my page. I work as a chef in aged care home and I am also a Cub Scout Leader with the local sea scout pack, So all of this gives me lots of photos to scrapbook. Hi! My name is Stacey and I am so happy to be a part of the Sketch N Scrap team! Let me tell you a little about me. I have been married to my best friend for 26 years (this month!) and together we have two amazing children and a yellow lab that pretty much rules our house. We currently call the beautiful state of Virginia home. I started scrapbooking in 2005 and discovered cardmaking during one of my husband's deployments. Slowly cardmaking took over and I seem to create more cards than anything else. Besides cardmaking and scrapbooking, I also like to create mini albums, alter items, make 3D projects, and am also discovering pocket style scrapbooking and loom knitting. Meena:

 Hi, I'm Meena from India. I'm a differently able person (bedridden from past 11years). I have started doing Art and Craft from childhood as a hobby. I got interested in this by seeing my aunties. When I was diagnosed with Spinal muscular atrophy type 2 when I was 12 years old my life stopped there because this disease has no cure. I was broken and all my dreams were also broken. At that time I didn't know what to do and how to come out of that. At that time my mom pushed me completely into the craft world. I did one year course in art and craft. I wanted to learn more in craft but no one was ready to teach me because I was differently able person, but I never gave up. I learnt everything from YouTube and from books.   I took my hobby as my professional from year 1999. I make fun fold cards, watercolouring, mixed media, DIY, altered work, scrapbook layouts, hand embroidery, soft toys, decoupage,  etc. I started blogging in February 2016. I don't have any particular style. I love working on every style and try new techniques and things. To me crafting is everything because through this I see outer world and can keep in touch with them. Sharon:

Hello, my name is Sharon Fontenot and I live on the north side of Houston, Texas. I have 3 children and 3 grandchildren (which you will soon be tired of seeing in my layouts). My dog, Riley, is in charge of the household.

My blog is called Higgledy-Piggledy Crafts. Each time I start a project the paper starts flying. Hence, the name Higgledy-Piggledy, which means in confusion or disorder. My craft room gets a little trashed during projects, but I straighten, organize, and clean, then start all over again. When I am not crafting, I enjoy riding my bike and spending time in the pool. I am beyond excited to be joining the Sketch N Scrap Design Team.

 My name is Amelia Harris. I was born in Mexico but was raised and still live in Idaho. I've been married for 17 years and we have 3 smart, beautiful daughters Adara (14), Senedra (12) & Arell (10) that keep me on my toes! I was introduced to paper crafting about 13 years ago but didn't really got into scrapbooking until 5-6 years ago. I don't feel like I have a particular crafting style, I just love to try new things. I also truly believe the best way to scrapbook is with sketches & friends!  I'm very excited to be part of the Sketch N Scrap Design Team!

My name is Diana Soling and I live in Yorkville, IL.  I am a mother of three, 2 boys and 1 girl and have been married for 21 years.  I started scrapbooking a few months after my oldest son was born and never looked back.  I started making cards when my youngest son was born.  I wanted to make his birth announcements.  I love reading in my spare time and hanging out with my kids.  We love going to the zoo (although only my 14 year old will go anymore) and watching movies.  We have three fur babies, two dogs and one hamster.

Hi I'm Tina of Tina's Scrap Corner. I'm married to a great guy for 23 years, we have a furry older child in the house Buddy and in dog years he's older than us :) Buddy is an Australian cattle-dog (Blue Heeler). We also have 17 grandkids (combined families :) and 5 Great-Grandkids so lots to scrap. I work the overnight shift in a food factory as a production worker. I started scrapbooking in 2007 when a friend invited me to a crop and I was hooked :) I love to scrap and make cards with sketches, it's a way for me to get the look I want in the fastest way possible, like a roadmap gets you from point A to point B.

A big Sketch N Scrap welcome!!!

We have a fun announcement to make today!  Most of you recognize our Senior Designer Heather who has been with us since Sketch N Scrap started over 3 years ago, and our newest Senior Designer Mandy who stepped in to take the place of another long time member Kerry when she had to step down earlier in the year.  Well, we are SUPER EXCITED to announce that these talented and creative ladies who bring us inspiration each and every month will start bringing us sketches every other month starting in October!!  We are super excited to debut Heather and Mandy's sketches starting October 1st...so tune in you won't want to miss them, I have seen them first hand and they are AMAZING!  In fact, I have been trying to find more time in my busy days to play along with them, they are sure to inspire you as much as they have me!  As always we will bring you FIVE amazing sketches each month! Also in October make sure and join us October 3rd for World Card Making Day, Mandy will be sharing an awesome sketch with us to inspire us to make more cards next month!

 Hello, my name is Katty Miranda. I am 29 years old and live in Sunny Miami, FL. I am a very proud mom of 2 beautiful boys Brian(10) and Ryan(8). I have been scrapbooking for 12 years. It is my favorite hobby and my therapy. I absolutely love playing with paper and paint. We also have a daughter, Abby, who is married to her high school sweetheart and they have a one year old little girl named Ada that I get the pleasure of babysitting through the week.  I started scrapbooking about 17 years ago and card making soon after that. Nothing relaxes me more than spending time in my scrap room. I love looking back on all that has happened and preserving those memories.  My name is Karen Lai. I was born and raised in Malaysia but now I live in Toronto, Ontario with my husband.  I really enjoy scrapbooking as a way of preserving memories in an artful way. I love bright colors but my favorite color is definitely pink!  Born and raised in South Texas, I'm a 35 yr old who is lucky enough to work from home as a software developer. I'm happily married to my wonderful husband of 8 years. We have four furbabies who tend to be in my scrapbooks more often than other subjects - Jeffrey (11 yr old Corgi mix), Ruby and Bear (10 yr black labs, littermates) and Penny Lane (2 1/2 yr old german shepherd mix). I started scrapbooking in 2009 after seeing my sister-in-law work on her Family scrapbook. We took a trip to Hobby Lobby and I was like a kid in a candy store, seeing all the stickers and papers. My name is Angela and I am a paper crafting girl! I love to make cards, create layouts and even some home décor items. I have been scrapbooking for about 16 years and love it! For me it is a creative outlet when I just want to relax and take my mind off of other things. If I had to pick what style of a crafter I was, I would say clean and simple. I like a “neat” look to my creations. (I guess that is the OCD in me!) I live in Colorado with my sweet husband who supports me 100% and my 4 wonderful kids. When I am not crafting I enjoy spending time with my family, being silly with my friends, shopping with my mom, and serving in my church. Something you may not know about me is that I LOVE black olive pizza, cinnamon bears, and anything with caramel. (I also love foods that are good for me, but none of those came to my mind right away. LOL) I also am excited to be on the Sketch n Scrap design team! Design Team Call!

Sketch N Scrap is excited to announce we are accepting applications for our Design Team! We are looking for designers who are interested in doing both cards and layouts based on our sketches!  If you love creating with our sketches then please consider applying.  No experience is necessary and international members are welcome to apply!  We are a group of fun loving & crafty ladies who enjoy sharing our passion for paper crafts with each other and our readers, while we have a lot fun we also are committed to our duties here at Sketch N Scrap ask you to consider carefully all our rules and commitments prior to applying.  We have a DT call twice a year if you are unable to apply at this time so check back often!!

 DESIGN TEAM CALL:

Email the following info to sketchnscrap@gmail.com

•  Your name and city/country
•  A link to your blog (Must have a blog to apply)
•  A list of your DT experience if any (none is required)
•  Tell us a little about yourself and why you would like to be on the Sketch N Scrap team
•  Three recent examples of your work . If possible include a mix of layouts and cards.

Deadline for submissions is June 10th at 5 pm CST

 DESIGNER DUTIES:

• Create one layout and one card per month based on sketches provided. Sketches are provided a minimum of one month in advance.
• Comment on participants entries.  This is a must (if you cannot commit to this pleased don't apply)
• Join our Design Team Facebook page (so a Facebook account is needed)
• Commit to the term of July 1st through December 31st 2015
• Maintain an active blog and post your DT reveal within two days of sketch reveal with a link back to Sketch N Scrap
• Must promote Sketch N Scrap on social media and on your blog
• Participate in special events, such as blog hops etc  (no more then 1 per term)
• Post the Sketch N Scrap DT blinkie on your blog 
• Submit your layouts by required deadline.  (3 days prior to reveal day)

Design Team will be announced on June 16, 2015. With the first reveal day of July 1st, 2015.  We hope you will consider applying, we'd love to have you on our team!

We are pleased to announce our new and returning DT members for our first term of 2015!  It is sad to say good by to some of our wonderfully talented DT members that have grown to be more then friends over the past 2 terms and we wish them well in their future endeavors!  We are looking forward to continuing on our crafty journey with some new faces, here is a little about each of our new DT members. 

Alicia: 

Hi, I am Alicia O'Bryant, a mother and wife who also works full time.  I have been crafty since childhood.  I owned a jewelry crafting business for over 20 years and have been paper crafting for almost as long.  I enjoy the city of life of Cincinnati, Ohio where I have lived for 18 years.  My son attends the School for Creative and Performing Arts downtown.    Work, school, restaurants and shops are in such proximity I can go for weeks without even getting on the freeway.  With that said, my family and I enjoy travel very much and love discovering kitschy and exotic places which make for some great scrapbook pages.  I love to create cards and mixed media projects as well.  I am very excited about working with all the great sketches here!

Surama:

My name is Surama and I live in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with my mom, my sister and two cute cats. I'm single, no children.  I work in publicity at my own company: an agency of events and promotional marketing.  I've been scrapping since 2006 and never stopped. I love colorful papers, inks, stamps and now I'm really enjoying my Silhouette machine. For me, scrapbooking is fun, it is my pleasure and my joy. It is my therapy for sad days. Good memories and special moments of my life with my family and friends are the main theme of my layouts.  In addition to scrapbooking, I love listening to music, making cookies and candies, watching movies and going out with friends. I'm so happy to be here again!

My name is Leah.  I live in Alabama with my husband, Bobby and our son, Noah.  I work as an aide for the special education department in an elementary school.  It can be a very demanding job at times and scrapbooking is my outlet.  I started scrapbooking after my mom gave me a kit one year for Christmas and was instantly hooked.  That was eight years ago! This is me.  I am a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter and a friend.  My days are filled with cleaning dishes, driving kids to practice, kissing boo boos, singing nursery songs, calling a friend, folding mounds of  laundry, cleaning the dishes AGAIN, washing tushies and toes, tucking little ones in bed, and then doing it all again.  But in the crazy, in the busy, in the sometimes unbearably frustrating there is everyday perfection.  Moments where time seems to stop, you take a picture in your mind, and promise yourself you will never forget.
