Sketch N Scrap #312

Happy New Year! A new year is a great time to make new creative goals, we hope that Sketch N Scrap can be part of inspiring your creativity in 2025!!  This year we are changing things up a bit, starting in 2025 we will be offering a new sketch twice a month on the 1st and 5th, then on the 15th and 20th we will be challenging you to create a layout or card using a throwback sketch!  We are also adding a "TWIST" challenge to our sketches this year!  Each month we will have a "THEME" and each sketch will feature a "TWIST" based on that theme.

This month's theme is: OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW

Since it's a new month and a new year that means it's time for another fun sketch!  We are kicking January off with a fun 3-photo sketch for you to try.  Today's sketch was created by sketch artist Lisa.

Here is the sketch:

TWIST: MIX IT UP- using the sketch create a layout with a mix of old and new by using one ore more papers that are over 3 years old on your layout with an embellishment that is new (a year old or less) OR use an embellishment over 3 years old and at least one or more papers that are new (a year old or less)

Now for inspiration from our amazing DT:

Deanna:

For the twist Deanna used new papers with an old embellishment (paper flowers)

Chris:

For the twist Chris used new papers from 49th & Market and older puffy embellishments from Pebbles & PinkFresh Studios.

We hope these layouts have inspired you to play along with us this month!

We can't wait to see what you create! To play along:
