January Winner and Featured Designers

Oh what a way to start off the new year! There were so many participants this month that it was so hard to choose our winners. So glad to see that your year is off to a crafty start! We would like to give a big round of applause of appreciation to all of our followers and participants for starting 2014 with a bang!. Here at Sketch~n~Scrap we plan on providing you with a lot of inspiration and motivation to make 2014 the craftiest ever! In 2014 you can  look forward to us bringing you great sketches and tons of inspiration and of course great prizes and blog hops.

Now let's keep the celebration going by announcing our Featured Layout and Card designers for the month of January. First, the December Featured Layout designer!  This month our DT picked Barbara Greenberg! Here is the layout she submitted -

We love Barbara's use of the sketch, especially the festive photos,the contrast she created with the colors - especially by pulling the colors directly from her photos, the way she use the pattern papers together and way that she incorporated the embellishments into the sketch!  Great work Barbara, Congrats and thanks a bunch for joining us!

Next we have our Featured card designer and our design team picked Miranda!

 Awesome use of the sketch and we were not only blown away by the special attention to detail but by her use of coloring and stamping work! Perfect for the holiday season! Congratulations Miranda thanks so much for joining us!

February Layout Guest Designer

Today we have our February Layout Guest Designer Stacia. 

Hello all!! My name is Stacia Brandt and I am happy to be joining you this month as the guest designer.  I’m the mother of two children, one boy and one girl.  I currently stay at home with my kids, but look forward to returning to the working world when my little one goes to kindergarten in 4 years.  I’m married to my wonderful husband, Keith for 2 years now and besides the kids, we have a pitbull named Roxy. 

I’ve been scrapbooking since the time of thin patterned paper and “sticker sneezes”.....So, that means for over 12 years!  I have grown and moved along with the hobby.  I love being artistic while being able to save the memories for my family and generations to come. I think my style is graphic, fun and bold! I love bright colors and patterns and generally just “fun” pages! I hope that you enjoy the layouts I am sharing this month! New challenge! Inspired by......

Welcome to our new challenge for 2014!  We are going to give this new challenge a try for the first few months of the year and if we get favorable response to this challenge we plan on continuing it for the rest of the year, so please let us know if you are "inspired by" our new challenge!  Here is how it works...each month on the 10th we will feature a new sketch by our sketch artists Lisa or Kelly.   This will be a sketch that was "inspired by" a layout created by one of our design team members.
