January's Featured artists

 Happy February! Thank you to everyone who joined us last month!  I think we can say it was an awesome month!!!  The DT was inspired by all the amazing entries shared both on the blog and in our Facebook group in January!!  What creative projects everyone shared!

It's time to announce our featured artists for January!  First up is our featured scrapper!  It was a hard choice again this month but the DT selected this amazing layout created by Jamie using throwback sketch #48 for our January 15th sketch challenge!

The DT just loved Jamie's take on the sketch and how she added an extra photo and creatively made the sketch fit her needs!

Next up is our featured card maker. Congratulations goes to Julia!  Julia used the January 5th card sketch to create her card. 

The DT loved the beautiful floral paper and that lovely green glitter paper Julia used on her amazing card!

Sketch N Scrap #313

  Happy February! We are kicking off a new month and a fun new theme here at Sketch N Scrap!!  This year we are changing things up a bit, we are offering a new sketch twice a month on the 1st and 5th, then on the 15th and 20th we will be challenging you to create a layout or card using a throwback sketch!  We are also adding a "TWIST" challenge to our sketches this year!  Each month we will have a "THEME" and each sketch will feature a "TWIST" based on that theme.

 This month's theme is: QUEEN OF HEARTS 

Since it's a new month that means it's time for another fun sketch!  We are kicking February off with a fun 2-photo sketch for you to try.  Today's sketch was created by sketch artist Lisa.

OUR TWIST FOR THIS SKETCH: 3 IN A ROW- using the sketch create a layout that includes things from one of the following diaganol, horizontal or vertical rows below:

Chris used the top horizontal row to create her fun layout: rhinestones, pink paper and the word LOVE in her title. 

Deanna:

Deanna used the middle row vertically: pink paper, free space and heart cluster to create her fun Christmas themed layout.

  Happy Monday! The month is flying by and it's time for our last sketch of the month challenge!  As you know this year we are changing things up a bit and we kicked off 2025 with a new format!  We are now offering a new sketch just twice a month on the 1st and 5th, then on the 15th and 20th we are challenging you to create a layout or card using a throwback sketch!  We are also adding a "TWIST" challenge to all our sketches this year!  Each month we will have a "THEME" and each sketch will feature a "TWIST" based on that theme.

 This month's theme is: OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW 

We have four fun throwback card sketches for you to choose from for today's challenge.

TWIST: MIX IT UP- using the sketch create a layout with a mix of old and new by using one ore more papers that are over 3 years old on your layout with an embellishment that is new (a year old or less) OR use an embellishment over 3 years old and at least one or more papers that are new (a year old or less)
