Welcome to our new Card Designers!

I know you were all inspired by our wonderful card examples yesterday.  Today we would like to welcome our new card design team for the first term of 2014!  These designers will be inspiring us all from January until June of 2013.  Please welcome:
Hello, I am Isbaha, a 35 year old stay-at-home mother to three little kids.  I discovered papercrating five years ago: how exciting even grown-ups can play with papers!  I love everything with paper and crafts, especially embellishments.  I'm thrilled to be on this creative team: sketches can be a wonderful jump start for creativity!  For more of Isbaha's work make sure and stop by her BLOG

Hi, my name is Ro, and I'm a craftaholic!  I have been crafting for as many years as I can remember.  I don't think I've ever met a craft (or crafter) I didn't  like.  But my favorite, by far, is working with paper!  And I am SO happy to be a part of Sketch N Scrap!  I am sort of an empty nester in that all three of my kids have all moved out (two of them bought houses in my neighborhood, which is awesome!). But this past May, my handicapped mom moved in.  We also have six dogs.  So I guess empty-nester doesn't really apply after all.  My hubby of 26 years and I enjoy traveling, camping, golfing, and hanging with the grandkids. But I am the most centered when I am crafting.  In addition to paper crafting, I also create jewelry and home dec projects, and I do a little sewing and crocheting. I am also learning to paint with watercolor. And I'm hoping to find some time to get back to scrapbooking all the wonderful photos of my grandkids.  I look forward to sharing all my projects with you at SNS and hope I can inspire others to create along with me!  For more of Ro's work check out her blog: Toodle Noodle Creative!

And welcome back returning members:

Make sure and visit these ladies' blogs for TONS of inspiration and to leave them a little bit of love! Tune in tomorrow when we announce some fun upcoming challenges at Sketch N Scrap!  We hope to continue to inspire you throughout the holidays and into the new year!

December Card Guest Designer

Today I have our December Card Guest Designer Sandi:
My name is Sandi Pressley and I have been paper crafting for about 6 years or so.  I create weekly pocket page spreads documenting our life, traditional 12x12 pages, altered and off the page projects like banners and cards...lots and lots of cards. I am the mother of two grown sons and Jake, Cole, Abby and Isabelle Grace call me Grandma.....it is the greatest role I have ever had.  Unfortunately they live in the midwest and I live 1000 miles away in coastal Florida.  Scrapping their accomplishments and fun times helps me not miss them quite so much.  My husband Dave and I work together and are with each other 24/7 and I can truly say he is my best friend and totally supports my addiction....eh hobby of playing with paper.  I am thrilled to be a guest designer here at Sketch N Scrap.  I love the sketches and play along every chance I get.

Check out this beautiful card that Sandi did for us. I love the rocking horse and that layered sentiment is wonderful!
Thanks so much Sandi!

Welcome to our newest DT members!

We are so excited to announce our new layout design team for the January-June 2014 term!  It was so nice to see how many of you applied and the level of creativity was just outstanding! And while we wish we could pick everyone, we had only a limited number of spots available, so if you did not make it this time around make sure and apply on our next call.  A big Sketch N Scrap welcome to our new layout design team for the first term of 2014:
My name is Surama and I live in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with my mom, my sister and two cute cats. I'm single, no children.  I work in publicity at my own company: an agency of events and promotional marketing.  I've been scrapping since 2006 and never stopped. I love colorful papers, inks, stamps and now I'm really enjoying my Silhouette machine. For me, scrapbooking is fun, it is my pleasure and my joy. Good memories and special moments of my life with my family and friends are the main theme of my layouts. In addition to scrapbooking, I love listening to music, making cookies and candies, watching movies and going out with friends. I'm so excited to be a part of the Sketch ~N~ Scrap design team!  For more of Surama's work visit her blog.

Hello! My name is Lissa Mitchell, and I'm so excited to be a member of the Sketch 'N Scrap design team! I'm a work-at-home mom of twin boys, age 10. My husband and I are kept very busy by these boys' sports and activities galore. We love getting outdoors to hike, ski, and explore Colorado, being recent transplants here from Kansas City. I'm an avid scrapbooker and sketch addict, and I've been scrapbooking for more than 16 years. Scrapbooking is a big part of my daily life - whether I'm taking photos of our adventures or creating pages that I'm proud to showcase in our family scrapbook albums. I love to create - scrapbooking is my relaxation outlet. I can't wait to get to know all of you better!  View more of Lissa's work on her blog MIGHTY CRAFTY.

Hi my name is Monique scrapbooker of layouts that are cute and unique.  I am a 44 y/o mother of a son named Christian and a cat named Angel who are both so sweet.  I love Facebook and Pinterest but I don't tweet.  I love sketches, shopping, going to the movies, weekend getaways, and concerts. These things make my life so neat.  I love God, family and friends. They make my life complete.  Lastly I am thankful for being selected for the SNS DT.  I am sure it will be a real treat. To see more of Monique's work visit her blog.

My name is Darcy and I have been scrapping for 6.5 years. I started out not really knowing anything, and not that I know much more now, but I enjoy learning and trying new things! I discovered sketches about a year ago and that changed my scrappy life. I am a very clean and simple scrapper and the focus of my pages is almost always my girls and their adventures. For more of Darcy's work visit her blog,  OUR HOUSE OF E

Hello, my name is Evie (pronounced Eve-e).  I am a wife an mother to one son and one kooky dog.  I am an artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing.  I finished out my schooling by working in collage and mixed-media, which I continued.  I discovered scrapbooking in 2002 shortly after my son was born.  I took the time to learn the basics of scrapbooking, slowly infusing my sensibilites towards collage and mixed-media.  Now I think of myself as a mixed-media scrapbooker letting all my creativity come through this wonderful artform.  I love sharing my layouts and other scrappy projects on my blog Artful Scrapbooking.

We will also have one returning member on our 2014 term one team, please welcome Jennifer Haggerty back!

We are happy to have Jennifer return for another term with us to share her creativity!   You can view more of Jennifer's work on her blog LIVE THE MOMENT

December Guest Layout Designer

Join me in welcoming our December Layout Guest Designer Dana!
I am a wife to an amazing man of 17 years. He is my support, my best friend and the love of my life. We have been blessed with a child, whom God gave us when we were told we could not have any. God is so good!  So documenting his birth and every moment since is what most of my layouts are about.  I still love the whole process of how a page layout comes together.  After having hand surgery I had to find another creative outlet and the answer was in cardmaking.  Though the two are so different, they do have a lot of similarities.  The biggest being that they both help to keep the stress levels down. Lol Scrapbooking was always my first love and no matter how long I have a break from it, I can always jump right back into it again and feel like I never gave it up. This is due to the fact that there are so many sketches to help you get the job done. And that is pretty cool!!  I have had my own scrapbooking business, been on staff with a local store teaching classes, been on other Design Teams and loved every minute of it. This love of scrapbooking has been going on since 1999 and it never grows old for me.With opportunities to scrapbook about my faith, my family, and all the fun times in between, this love of creativity will continue to grow into much, much more.  Any craft that helps you to remember yesterday and helps bringa smile to someone’s face surely must be a great thing. This has been a fun journey and it isn't over yet!  If you would like to see more of my work, come visit me at my blog at www.relivingtomorrow.blogspot.com  I am so excited and happy to be Guest Designing for Sketch-N-Scrap!  Thanks so much for having me!!

Dana put together a wonderful layout for us. I absolutely love how the colors pop on that black background.
And check out the details, with the rub-ons, embossed tag and stars!
Thanks so much Dana!
