Welcome to our new Card Designers!
I know you were all inspired by our wonderful card examples yesterday. Today we would like to welcome our new card design team for the first term of 2014! These designers will be inspiring us all from January until June of 2013. Please welcome:
Hello, I am Isbaha, a 35 year old stay-at-home mother to three little kids. I discovered papercrating five years ago: how exciting even grown-ups can play with papers! I love everything with paper and crafts, especially embellishments. I'm thrilled to be on this creative team: sketches can be a wonderful jump start for creativity! For more of Isbaha's work make sure and stop by her BLOG
Hi, my name is Ro, and I'm a craftaholic! I have been crafting for as many years as I can remember. I don't think I've ever met a craft (or crafter) I didn't like. But my favorite, by far, is working with paper! And I am SO happy to be a part of Sketch N Scrap! I am sort of an empty nester in that all three of my kids have all moved out (two of them bought houses in my neighborhood, which is awesome!). But this past May, my handicapped mom moved in. We also have six dogs. So I guess empty-nester doesn't really apply after all. My hubby of 26 years and I enjoy traveling, camping, golfing, and hanging with the grandkids. But I am the most centered when I am crafting. In addition to paper crafting, I also create jewelry and home dec projects, and I do a little sewing and crocheting. I am also learning to paint with watercolor. And I'm hoping to find some time to get back to scrapbooking all the wonderful photos of my grandkids. I look forward to sharing all my projects with you at SNS and hope I can inspire others to create along with me! For more of Ro's work check out her blog: Toodle Noodle Creative!
And welcome back returning members:
Make sure and visit these ladies' blogs for TONS of inspiration and to leave them a little bit of love! Tune in tomorrow when we announce some fun upcoming challenges at Sketch N Scrap! We hope to continue to inspire you throughout the holidays and into the new year!

My name is Surama and I live in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with my mom, my sister and two cute cats. I'm single, no children. I work in publicity at my own company: an agency of events and promotional marketing. I've been scrapping since 2006 and never stopped. I love colorful papers, inks, stamps and now I'm really enjoying my Silhouette machine. For me, scrapbooking is fun, it is my pleasure and my joy. Good memories and special moments of my life with my family and friends are the main theme of my layouts. In addition to scrapbooking, I love listening to music, making cookies and candies, watching movies and going out with friends. I'm so excited to be a part of the Sketch ~N~ Scrap design team! For more of Surama's work visit her blog.

My husband and I are kept very busy by these boys' sports and activities galore. We love getting outdoors to hike, ski, and explore Colorado, being recent transplants here from Kansas City. I'm an avid scrapbooker and sketch addict, and I've been scrapbooking for more than 16 years. Scrapbooking is a big part of my daily life - whether I'm taking photos of our adventures or creating pages that I'm proud to showcase in our family scrapbook albums. I love to create - scrapbooking is my relaxation outlet. I can't wait to get to know all of you better! View more of Lissa's work on her blog MIGHTY CRAFTY.

I discovered sketches about a year ago and that changed my scrappy life. I am a very clean and simple scrapper and the focus of my pages is almost always my girls and their adventures. For more of Darcy's work visit her blog, OUR HOUSE OF E
Hello, my name is Evie (pronounced Eve-e). I am a wife an mother to one son and one kooky dog. I am an artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing. I finished out my schooling by working in collage and mixed-media, which I continued. I discovered scrapbooking in 2002 shortly after my son was born. I took the time to learn the basics of scrapbooking, slowly infusing my sensibilites towards collage and mixed-media. Now I think of myself as a mixed-media scrapbooker letting all my creativity come through this wonderful artform. I love sharing my layouts and other scrappy projects on my blog Artful Scrapbooking.

I work full-time as paper crafting teacher, & I love every single minute of what I do! We are empty nesters, so when I'm not paper crafting, my wonderfully supportive husband & I are usually spending time together. We spend a lot of time outdoors, enjoying nature as much as we can. I live in Southern Texas along the beautiful gulf coast with my hubby of 23 years and our grandson. I have been scrapping for just 6 years, and my style ranges from very simple to eclectic shabby chic. I love the feel of paper between my fingers and manipulating it to make it fit my needs. I have always been artistic, dabbling in sketching, painting, crocheting, and sewing. However, once I became addicted to scrap booking, that‘s the craft of choice. My name is Rachelle. I am a mother to 2 grown sons; 20 and 35 and grandmother to 2 beautiful grandchildren. I was a 6th grade teacher for 7 years. I am so honored and excited to become apart of this team. A big thanks for selecting me. I am wheelchair bound all day and keeping busy was my goal. I started scrapbooking in 2008 when I viewed a friends work. My passion quickly turned into addiction for this type of artistry and I never looked back. I am very passionate of this hobby. It's not just about creating albums but it is a work of art. I love taking pictures to use to document life. Thus, here I am today enjoying my passion as therapy and inspiration to others. Now that I am wheelchair bound, each day is filled with being inspired, creating, providing inspiration through my work and treasuring the memories. I am so addicted to the art of paper crafting. My obsession has expanded since 2009 for creating cards, altered art, and canvas artwork. I love using elegant and fun elements.Yes, I do send out a few cards. My style has been described as detailed, beautiful, and multifaceted. My greatest strength is attention to detail. I pay close attention to my design and elements I select for each project. I'm big into journaling. I like to take the viewer on a visual journey of my designs.

Welcome to our New Card Designers!
A HUGE thank you to all the talented ladies that applied for our Card Designer spots! We wish we could find a spot for everyone, you were all so talented and made it a very hard decision! If you didn't get picked this round, please consider trying out on our next call. Please give a BIG Sketch N Scrap welcome to three of our six new card designers:
Hi I’m Hillary, I live in Oklahoma with my husband and two dogs. I have always loved papercrafting. I learned how to scrapbook from my mother and her sisters and put together many scrapbooks in my junior high and high school years. A few years ago I ventured into making cards and I haven’t looked back since! I’m very blessed to have a husband who is so supportive of my hobby. He let me take over half of the office and always has nice things to say when I show him my creations. You can check out my personal blog over at inkandpapercards.blogspot.com
My name is Stephanie and I live in beautiful Vancouver, Canada with my amazing husband. I've been scrapbooking and making cards for 10+ years and love preserving my memories in such a creative way. My husband and I are newlyweds and our everyday life together as Mr. & Mrs. is definitely my favorite thing to scrapbook! As for cards, I'm a "just because" kinda girl and love coming up with cards that can be used for any occasion. I'm absolutely addicted to stamps, both clear/acrylic and rubber wood-mounted, and they almost always find their way onto my projects. When I'm not busy getting ink all over my hands and glitter in my hair, some of my favorite things to do are reading good books in nearby coffee shops, going on spontaneous road trips and spending quality time with the people I love. You can view more of Stephanie's work on her blog, SKYLINE PAPERIE
RIA:
Hello everyone. I'm so
thrilled to be part of the Sketch N Scrap Design Team! I’m Ria Montefalcon, a
mom to KC and aunt to Abiel and Aidan. Philippines is my home country but I
currently live in a small city yet my home for a couple of years now, Doha, Qatar.
I’m a marketing professional by day and a happy crafter by night. I have loved arts
and craft ever since I was a little girl, from a handmade card for grandma,
stamping with coloring, to even sewing dresses for my little dolls.
My style is clean and
simple. I love to play with patterned papers, stamps and try techniques I
haven’t done before. I also love sewing so you will see some of my sewn crafts
and needleworks at my blog. So happy to share my works with you all.

Our Senior Team and Sketch Artists
We wanted to give a big shout out to our new sketch artist Brenshevia Baker! Brenshevia will join Lisa in bringing you monthly inspiration in the form of sketches. We hope that the two different styles will get you creating outside of your comfort zone and bring you endless inspiration as you preserve your memories.
Here's a little background about Brenshevia:
I have be scrapbooking for about 5 years now. I started back in 2007 when I went home for my 20th class reunion. My godsister started telling me about how she scrapped and how fun it was. I became so interested that I came home and tried my hand at it and loved it! The rest as they say is history. I don’t really have a style, I pretty much scrap the moment so my page could be clean and simple or elegant and elaborate. I am the mother of two and grandmother of three. As you will see, my grand babies are the
primary subject of my pages, I LOVE scrapping those faces! Please allow me to share my life's journey in pictures with you. For more inspiration and sketchy goodness from Brenshevia please visit her blog:

Design Team Intros - Part two
I am so excited to share with our followers the rest of our new design team members! Please welcome:
Hi! My name is Crystal. I live in central Pennsylvania. I am a mom to one boy, a wife, and a full time counselor/advocate. I love to create and have always crafted in some form or another throughout my entire life. I have been scrapbooking in the form we think of it today since about 2002. I do a mix of paper, hybrid, and digital scrapping with a little bit of art journal influence thrown in sometimes. I love to use sketches as my starting points—although sometimes I go off in my very own direction and my final result has little in common with the sketch inspiration. I am an online scrap class junkie. I’m always on the lookout for new techniques to try, ways to approach scrapping, or just new forms of inspiration.
For more of Crystal's work please visit her blog, Crystal's Garden.
My name is Mandi. I am twenty-three years old and live in Michigan with my parents, brother and a spoiled dog. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember but really got into it when I was teen. That is when my dad was getting me more into paper crafting. I am sure he didn't realize what a large stash accumulating over the years. I was thirteen when I put together my first scrapbook together and the subject was a tiny, little, fur ball, name Buster. I love to make scrapbook pages, cards and altered items. Besides crafting, I love to spend time cooking and spending time with my family.
Please visit Mandi's blog, The Kraze of MJ, for loads of inspiration.
Hello, my name is Lynette Jacobs. I live in Port Elizabeth on the east coast of South Africa . I have been married to Kobus for the past 33 years and we have three grown children. We have been blessed with six beautiful grandchildren who are also the subject of most of my scrapping. My husband and I founded a non-profit organization that provides for the needs of nearly 600 homeless and poor people whom we house at the Mission. This work is very stressful and emotional and scrapbooking provides me with much needed stress-relief. I started scrapbooking in 2005 and was instantly hooked. I love that my hobby can give me so much pleasure and at the same time create a legacy for my children and grandchildren. Until recently I preferred doing only layouts that can be slipped into my albums. I have now developed a love for mini albums as gifts to my love ones and also love making handmade cards. To see more of Lynette's work visit her blog, A Work in Progress.

DT intros - Part one
Now that things are slowing down a bit after our big holiday week last week we would like to take the opportunity to introduce more formally our new DT members! We are thrilled to welcome
Monica
me think out side my little square box and I enjoy blogging to get inspiration and new ideas (there is just so much out there). Please visit Kerry's blog, Scrapbooking for the love of paper, for more inspiration!
My name is Monica Moore and I'm from the midwest state of Indiana. I'm recently married so you will find that a lot of my pages are of my husband and I (new and old). I also have two little kittens that my husband and I added to our little family over the summer. I've always been a crafty and artistic person and scrapbooking has been a fun way for me to be crafty without having to over think things. I've been scrapbooking since I was in middle school, but I've really gotten into it in the past two years. I had the opportunity to work at a scrapbook store for a year, which really helped my stash GROW! My stash has gotten a little out of hand, but who's isn't?!?!?! I love to scrapbook anything that happens in my life, the big things and small things. My favorite scrapbook brands are October Afternoon, Simple Stoires and My Mind's Eye just to name a few. You'll find in my pages that I'm not afraid to mix and match brands, I just use what I think looks good together. Monica recently started her own blog, called Document Moore Memories so be sure to check it out if you would like to see more of Monica's lovely work.
I am a wife and mother to 3 girls and we live in a very small village in Essex, United Kingdom. I have been scrapbooking for about 7 years and I run a local scrapbooking club. I have tried my hand at several crafts but I think scrapbooking is my ultimate favourite by far, I just love the diversity in the industry where no matter what your style or skill there is always a product to enhance or help in your creativity. My favourite product has to be paper (can you have too much paper?) and my favourite tool is my Bigshot.
My other hobbies include reading, gardening (including growing my own veg) and I have just learnt how to switch from auto to manual on my DSLR! I love nothing better than doing scrappy challenges sas it makesme think out side my little square box and I enjoy blogging to get inspiration and new ideas (there is just so much out there). Please visit Kerry's blog, Scrapbooking for the love of paper, for more inspiration!
Hi my name is Tamika and just like Will Smith I am Philadelphia born and raised. My husband and I have two sons, two daughters and two dogs between the two of us. My daughters are growing up so quickly but I am far enough behind in my scrapping that they will stay young forever in my heart, lol. I have been a crafter all of my life in some shape or form. It started with drawings, then home-made paper dolls, sewing, cooking, fabric painting, latch-hooking, jewelry making, nail art & designs, crocheting and finally my true love scrapbooking. I started scrapbooking after receiving a mail order kit and my passion for this art form has grown over the years. Besides layouts I enjoy creating hand made gift items, cards, notepads, etc. and I teach crafting classes at an Assisted Living Facility twice a month. I find creating pages therapeutic and my own private escape from life's hustles and bustles. I love using sketches and I look forward to sharing and learning from you. You can find more of Tamika's work on her blog, Phillyscraps.
I hope you will join me in welcoming these lovely ladies to our team! We have three more DT members, one sketch artist and THREE senior DT members to introduce in the next few days, so join me again tomorrow for more introductions!

My name is Heather Hall. I live in Nebraska with my husband Jeremy and 3 children, Rylan, Brett & Briliegh. I've been arting in some form my whole life. I started drawing in school and moved on to painting, stained glass and everything else that was available. In college I focused more on computers graduating with an Bachelors Degree in Visual Communications & Design. In 2002 I started working at a gift shop and the world of crafting opened up to me. I bought a saw and started with wood crafts, later I added a sewing machine to my arsenal and designed crafts for every season. I still work in both mediums, adding things to my website (www.theoldesaltbox.com) as I make them. In 2009 I gave birth to my triplets and the world of Scrap Booking opened it's doors to me. I enjoy working in the paper arts most these days. With 3 children there is always something to scrap about!
Lisa: Sketch designer, Scrap Designer, and Contributor
Lisa started scrapbooking in 1997 shortly after the birth of her son. She joined her first online group in 2007 and after receiving inspiration and encouragement from her online scrapping friends she started her own blog : MY CREATIVE ENDEAVORS http://createdbylisa.blogspot.com. Lisa loves using sketches as a starting point for almost all her layouts. When she isn't putting pictures to paper she is sketching out plans for upcoming layouts. She began creating her own sketches in 2010 hoping to inpsire other busy moms who have limited scrapping time and need to multitask while scrapbooking! Lisa loves seeing how her sketches inspire others and receives a great amount of satisfaction seeing her basic sketch turned into a work of art!
My name is Kelly and I live in Texas with my hubby of 14 years who is very supportive of my crafting habit. We have 2 boys ages 13 and 12 as well as a 2 year old puppy who is our baby. After my boys were born, I stayed at home and started a small home daycare. I’ve always had a love for art and paper since I was young, doodling on all my notebooks and cross stitching. I started collecting memorabilia back in high school to put in a scrapbook my Mom had created by painting on the pages. The last several years have been such fun creating with all the products in the market now. I enjoy mixing different paper lines, painting, distressing along with creating in clean lines. I am a big fan of using sketches for inspiration and love going to the GASC every year to check out the latest & greatest as well as taking classes to learn more. I also love making cards and occasionally altering items when time allows. Other hobbies I enjoy are reading, gardening, fishing, watching my boys play sports, and quilting. You can find more of my work athttp://www.creatingwithpaperandmore.blogspot.com/

Jewels: Scrap Designer and Site Owner
Hi! My name is Jewels! My love for Art and creating has been instilled in me as long as I can remember...given to me by God! Throughout my life I have had a growing interest in a variety of art and crafty endevors. My love for scrapbooking started when my Mommy showed me a scrapbook she made for her high school sweet heart, my Dad, when I was about 13. After that I became hooked! I would collect odds and ends from places we would go and add them with pictures to scrapbooks. I mostly doodled for my embellishments and added stickers at the time. :) I did that for a few years and didn't really know the extent of how addicting this art could be until I had my first baby and was introduced to a whole new world of scrapbooking. The last five years I have developed a real passion and love for scrapping and enjoy growing in my craft. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a designer and have had some of my work published. For that I am very thankful and blessed! I absolutely love the creative outlet and opportunity to preserve memories and leave a legacy for my children and their children. I am excited, blessed, proud, and honored to be part of the scrappy world! I simply love Scrapbooking!
